What is the IBIC Prize?

The IBIC Prize is our community’s way of shining a light on the quiet heroes of charged particle beam instrumentation; those whose careers have shaped how we see, measure and understand beams. This lifetime achievement award honors individuals whose contributions go far beyond single breakthroughs, recognizing the full arc of a career: the instruments designed, the students mentored, the standards elevated and the collaborations strengthened.

Nominations are open to everyone in the diagnostics community. You don’t need a title or a committee seat – just the conviction that someone’s work has truly made a difference. If you know a colleague whose innovations, teaching or leadership have defined and advanced our field, we encourage you to put their name forward. Each nomination helps ensure the IBIC Prize reflects the care, inclusivity and collective spirit that make our community strong.
